Sponsor a Staffer

At the very heart of Camp Longridge for thirty years has been the twenty to thirty high school and college staff members who come each summer and basically volunteer their time to minister to children, students and guests. Making less than minimum wage and working 24 hours a day, these staff embody Christ’s call to go out into the world and share the salvific message of a loving God. We are one of the few camps in which staff stay with the campers 24 hours a day for the entirety of the time they are here at camp. The staff truly live out the call of God to be agents of peace, hope and salvation in a broken world. We would love for these staff to be partnered up with Christian mentors who can encourage and support them throughout their ministry here at Longridge.

Would you as a family, sunday school class, men or women’s group or church consider investing in both the lives of one of these students for the 2012 summer as well as the kingdom ministry of Camp Longridge through sponsoring one of these staff members?

For a gift of $1000 and a ministry of love (letters and care packages are always welcomed at camp!), you can not only invest in the future of a young missionary’s life but also be ministered too in return through listening to their stories and memories of the summer. You become a co-participant in their mission, a partner in their call. At the conclusion of the summer, we invite you to attend a sponsor banquet, sit with your staff member and let them thank you face to face for your sacrificial investment in their lives.

One of our central purposes at Longridge is facilitate meaningful relationships between staff members, campers and a loving God. This sponsorship opportunity expands that statement of mission to include relationships between staff members and caring supporters who will continue to resupply and refill staff with graceful support as staff totally give of themselves to students throughout the summer.

I encourage you to consider joining with others who also have a passion to see young people development in the faith to support a ministry that has affected thousands of lives in the last thirty years.

Here’s how it works:

(1) Fill out the following form to show interest in the program or contact Mark at 866.966.9805(x2) or mark@camplongridge.com. (You can request a staff member if you have a prior relationship with them.)

(2) In February, you will receive an information packet with a brief biography of your staff member including their hopes and dreams for the summer ministry at Longridge.

(3) Donation of $1000 must be received by April 1st.

(4) You and your staff member will communicate during the summer through letter and email. The staff member will detail how the ministry is going and God is using them to minister to young people.

(5) At the end of the summer, we invite you to attend a sponsor banquet where you can meet your staff member face to face and they can thank you for your support!
