Hey Hey! Today we awoke to the final day of our first week of camp. The morning began with breakfast and a devotion given by Mr. Frank. The praise band led us in a final time of worship together. We then headed down to the lake for a team activity. It was time for the CANOE SINK! All the teams gave great energy and excitement! It was so much fun to be all together down on the dock in the bright sun shiny morning. After packing up our cabins and getting ready to depart, everyone met for lunch in the chapel. There we looked at pictures of the week and received ribbons from cabin leaders and Peanut Patch Olympics. The camp champs for boy and girl were awarded along with Bible drill champion. The Orange team took home the spirit flag for the week and the Blue team pulled out the win overall. All the teams did such a great job and everyone had a great time cheering and playing games through the week. We heard a word from Mr. Frank, sang the theme song one last time and said farewell to the campers. It was a great week and the whole staff was sad to see them go, but excited as we remember the great week we had worshiping God, learning, and playing together!

HELLO boys and girl! It’s CLR very own game guy. Just hear to tell you how great this week is going for campers and staff alike. Well, Tuesday is our messy day on the field. For my Activity the campers help make the staff really messy. Lets just say we you mustard to cover them up. Also on Tuesday we started “Peanut Patch”. Which is a ton of Camp Longridge games like Field goal kick and bowling…. So much fun
.Now Wednesday night is our celebration of creation. All the teams did such an amazing job. I laugh so hard when the girl staff did their skit. Now today we have the shaving cream blast. I’m super excited about that. Shaving cream WILL be EVERYWHERE. I can’t wait to see you all.
Love in Christ, From your friendly neighborhood game guy

Hey it’s Gregg here bringing you the hottest news from the one and only Camp Longridge! We kicked off our first kids week yesterday and I gotta tell you, it has been tremendous indeed. Me and Nasty Nautical Neurological Nate have been assigned to Cabin 2 this week and we were very excited to meet all the campers! This morning we kicked off our day with breakfast followed by morning worship! After that we made our way up to the hill for team activities including the always exciting CHAOS! I volunteered myself for the green team to participate in CHAOS and I’ve honestly never been messier in my whole life! By the end of it I was covered in ice cream, chocolate, flour mixed with water, shaving cream, and also very wet. I also had to eat two packs of saltine crackers and whistle a tune, and not to forget the fact that I had to eat baby food. Luckily I got a good flavor… Sweet Pea! In the afternoon I got to take a very excited group to the high ropes course and after dinner we had another exciting chapel service led by Mr. Frank. After that we had a quick canteen break and then went to team rooms to practice our team skit for the week. If that wasn’t enough we then met in the field for movie night! With popcorn! I know it seems like alot but we managed to cram all that into a seemingly very short 14 hour day! (Only at Camp Longridge!) Well, it’s time for me to go to bed now but stayed tuned for more posts from the other staffers! Good night!
-Gregg

Hello everyone!!! This is Kayla! I am a second year staffer and I am psyched to be back and to serve on the Super Summer Staff of 2011 at Camp Longridge! Today was the BIG day! Our first group of campers arrived and we welcomed them with open arms and loud cheers! We began the day doing last minute preparations before campers arrived. We then ran, flipped, and screamed when the first bus pulled through the gate! We had swim tests and then had fun with each other at Clark Lake! We had our first team cheering sessions and, if I do say so myself, SILVER team definitely deserves the spirit flag tomorrow (but i am slightly bias). We then did team activities such as the plate game, the hula hoop game and chalk competitions. We then ate dinner and went to chapel where we sang sbout following Jesus and celebrating what He has done in our lives. We then learned about the key to unlock the doors of heaven. Many decisions were made, and I consider that to be the best part of the night! We ended the night with team volleyball which the SILVER team dominated! Tomorrow is shaping up to be a day to remember and we are raring and ready to go!!!!!
Sparklin’ Hard,
Kayla

The sun has been shining and we have all been plaing on the paintball course, high ropes course, low ropes course, and lake. Today I went on the high ropes with a great group of 10 girls. We had a blast swinging through the trees like monkeys! I am looking foward to the rest of the night and the great day coming tomorrow.

Hey! My name is Nate James and this is my 2nd summer here at Camp Longridge. This week I am in cabin 7 with middle school boys from First Baptist Columbia and it is a BLAST! The students are so much fun to hang out with and minister to! Also I am one of the leaders for the RED TEAM this week and we have been competing with other teams for points because there is an awesome spirit flag award that is given out each day! Today, along with a few other staff members, I had the chance to take the middle school students and a few leaders to play paintball. It was so awesome and they had a blast! Also, just continue to pray for the rest of the week as this group experiences CL. We all come together for worship, and it has been AMAZING. God is doing some amazing things in this youth group as well as here at camp this week! It’s been sweet! GO RED!
