The Coolest Classic Kick Off Ever!

After many weeks and months of anticipation, the CL staff welcomed an amazing group of students through the gates and into the amazing week called student classic. The staff was pumped as the students arrived and learned of the teams, small groups, and cabins they are a part of. Next came moving into cabins with tons of excitement becase it was almost lake time! The lake opened and swim time began. This time was a blast and then we got to spend time together in our cabins getting to know each other. We met our small groups in the chapel to play some great games created by the students. These games were energetic, imaginative, and super fun! After play time and game time, it was dinner time. We enjoyed a wonderful meal together with some great fellowship to go along with the great food. We rejoined our small groups to prepare for the worship service. We began to think about the things Mr. Frank was to speak about in service. We came together and the chapel service began. Mr. Frank shared about the knocking at our hearts’ door. This knocking comes from Jesus Christ. Mr. Frank also shared how to open the door of your heart and welcome Jesus in to your life. Several students made the incredible decision to answer the knocking and accept Jesus tonight. The campers, staff, and leaders celebrated with these students. Canteen break came and we ate snacks, talked with friends, met new friends, and played lots of volley ball. The big ball volley ball tournament began. Splenda, our huge volley ball, made her appearance on the scene with the red and green teams. They had a great match! Next came the orange and blue teams. All four teams played hard and enjoyed every minute of it. The final game was between the staff/leaders and the students. Each side gave great effort and endurance. After a great Monday, the students and staff headed to the cabins to relax, reflect on the day, and prepare for a fantastic day tomorrow!
