It’s FRIDAY!!!
June 13, 2008
Wow!! What a week. The week has seemed to fly by. We have finished our first week of kids. We have been waiting all summer for this week and now it is over. This week was so much fun! Today we started our day with breakfast and quiet time by Mr. Frank in the dining hall. After quiet time, the kids had the opportunity to play outside and make their last few purchases from the canteen and the gift shop. Then we went to the cabins so the kids could pack their things. The kids did such a good job packing and helping the staffers clean the cabins. We did our final team activity, which made a huge difference in the points for the teams. Each team had an area around camp to gather the trash.  The team with the most trash won the game. After the activity, everyone moved to the chapel to have the ceremony. We had bag lunches for each person. The kids did a great job at participating in all the Peanut Patch Olympics games. The staffers had many awards to give for the games. The cabins had special awards for each camper too. At the end of the awards ceremony, Robby announced that the Blue team won, Orange was in second, Green in third, and Red in fourth. We had a really great time with the teams this week. I think each staff was ready for today and the weekend. It has been such a busy week, and now everyone can relax and enjoy their weekend. I hope all the campers enjoyed their week and I hope everyone has a blessed weekend!
