Happy Hump Day!!

We have had a very productive Wednesday!  This morning after breakfast we went right to work!  Kim, Hannah, Jessica, Kayla, and I finished our third ESPN Hockey table.  Tanner finished his first hockey and was promoted to the BIG table.  With help from lots of other guys, Tanner completed the ESPN Air Hockey table.  The game room is now complete with all new tables.  The staff is very excited to spend time with the kids playing games.  Many other tasks were finished too!  Josh and Travis worked on the ropes course steps and completed the new bench for the spectators.  They also worked on the bench and the swings at the lake.  The first aid now has a new door handle.  Melissa, our camp nurse, is very excited about it!  Melissa and Bethany distributed cleaning supplies so the cabins and lodge can be in tip top shape!  Robby and Mark had a fun time replacing the old thermostats with the new ones.  The one in the gift shop works amazing.  It kept me cool while I finished the gift shop!!!  It is ready for the kids.  I cant wait for the kids to see all the new things we have.  The other cool part is the gift shop is online now so anyone can order Camp Longridge stuff!  Along with the gift shop being finished, the canteen and the lake canteen is stocked.  We cant wait for the kids to eat up the candy!! Jacob and Ian finally finished the pressure washing, so now the kids have clean sidewalks!  After all the hard work, we got a break to relax and hang out.  We received our new camp polo shirts today!  The staff got spiffy and we took new staff pictures.  They turned out amazing!  After dinner we did a mock service and talent show.  The band was AWESOME!  They have been practicing a lot and it has paid off!  The talent show is going to better than ever!  We have new stuff that will keep you laughing!  After practice we got the news the staff has been waiting for…cabin assignments!!!  Cabin one is Jessica and Andrea Novak.  Cabin two is Chas.  Cabin three is Kayce and Kim.  Cabin four is Travis.  Cabin five is Hannah and Erica.  Cabin six is Ian and Robby.  Cabin seven is Josh and Tanner.  Cabin eight is Jacob and Evan.  Cabin nine is Bethany and Melissa.  Cabin ten is Andrea Houtman and Kayla.   We are so excited and cant wait to move in our cabins!!  To finish off the night, the staff gathered around a camp fire at the lake and spent time together singing and roasting marshmallows!  We only have 2 more work days and the kids are here!  What an exciting feeling!!!
