HAPPY TUESDAY!

Date June 3, 2008

Hey Ya’ll!

So today started bright and early at 7:00am in the Dining Hall. The girls all ate wonderful pancakes and bacon, while the guys showed up about twenty minutes late because they decided to sleep in due to “alarm clock failure.” After breakfast, we split up into groups. Some of us pressure-washed (Kayce), some painted (Melissa, Andrea H., Andrea K., Bethany, Evan), some built hockey tables (Jessica, Tanner, Hannah, Kim, Kayla, Jacob) and some even built a bench for the ropes course (Josh and Travis)!!! Others were busy doing other tasks (Chas). Robbie and Mark were riding the golf cart checking on our jobs and making sure we had everything we needed.

It was a long day, but full of accomplishments. We ate an awesome lunch at about noon. In the afternoon we continued with our morning jobs. We all were determined to be finished by supper.

Dinner was at 5:30pm and we all enjoyed the socializing and relaxing after the long day of work. After dinner we spent time with Mr. Frank in Bible study. After dinner we had a short break and then were assigned our jobs for the first day of camp (Monday). I was put on the lovely team of working in the office. Some filmed a video at the lake introducing you to the slide, The Bullet, here at Camp Longridge. We went through our tasks and how the first day of camp would go. We were shown how to use the computers in the Canteen and the Gift Shop.

Now it is free-time. Some of us are playing online, while others are playing in the awesome game room that is filled with new games!!! The praise band is practicing their music for next week and they sound spectacular!!! We are super excited for you guys to come visit us!!! We’ve been waiting and waiting for ya’ll to get here and enjoy camp and have a blast!!! See ya soon! =)
