AINT NO RAIN GONNA HOLD US DOWN!

After a long night of rain, all of the campers and staff had a great deal of energy that needed releasing. As the Game Guy I saw first hand the energetic potential of these kids. Each day we award a spirit flag for the team that had the most spirit, which includes things such as cheering while their team is playing, hustling, and overall participation in the days events. Today was probably the most spirited day i’ve seen from the campers in the three years i’ve been a staffer. We played a pillow-polo game (as your kids) along with a few other team events. Today at the lake the water was up about 1′ overnight! The kids never hesitated though, and neither did the staff. Free time was met with just as much intensity as the rest of the day’s events. It’s amazing when the expectations set for a seemingly dreary and melonchaly day are shattered and left wanting by a God who can move mountains. A sufficient God, that often seems to exceed expectations, made his presence felt to the kids, the staff, the camp, and from there, only time will tell.
