A few of the campers started the morning out right with our sunrise yoga/ stretching group on the dock. The peaceful lake was a great start to a day that only got better. Of course the guys came up and fished before breakfast, and from what I heard some nice size fish were caught. Our quiet time was intimate way to begin our day walking with the Lord. From our quiet time we went on to our morning chapel service where a powerful skit about showing others the way was performed by one of the small groups. After a short break we went off into our small goups to discuss what we had learned further. In the small group setting everyone was able to share what they were getting out of the lesson and have a chance to have a say. Team activities on the field involved an exciting relay between the teams. Each team was given a puzzle which they had to put together… but we added a few tiwists to make things interesting. Each youth had to sack race to get a puzzle piece for their team and then hand it to their blind folded leader. They then had to tell the leader where the puzzle piece went. After that puzzling game we played floating wacky ball with flippers. Each batter had to put on one swim flipper, hit the ball, and then run to the base. As if that werent enough the bases could be moved at any point in the game and all batters on the base had to move as well. Of course in wacky ball all balls are fair, as long as there is ball to bat contact, so the outfielders had their work cut out for them as well. Lunch was a nice cool down after the field activities. Small group time was a blast as each small group worked on their table for Thursdays service. Once small group wound down everyone headed down to the lake for our lake relay between the teams. The zip line, slide, diving board, canoes, and even the basketball court were used as check points throughout the lake front relay. The Orange team took home the win, with only a second to spare. After such a jam packed day of activities the youth got a chance to chill out with their friends at the lake and try out for Longridge Latte. After dinner everyone got a much needed break to just lay down and soak in everything that has gone on up until this point. Once everyone was rejuvinated we headed over to the chapel to begin our nightly service. The service ran a little differently tonight as we all started off on our won, then moved into our small groups for discussion, and ended up worshiping our Lord with our teams. We all met back in the chapel as a whole to finish out the service. The dance small group performed an interpretive dance to open up, and then Mark began his sermon. The night ended with a communion at the cross among the church groups. After another short canteen break we all headed back to the chapel for Longridge Latte. Some of the youth sang, others danced, and some read personal poetry. As the night came to a close you could feel us growing closer as a family under Him.
